Since 2008, we have been a reliable partner of SIM Automation GmbH, manufacturing customized production data acquisition terminals (PDA terminals) that are used by our mutual customers.
In our current project, we are focusing on a comprehensive retrofit of the existing PDA terminals in order to bring the production technology up to date and meet future requirements.
This is what our retrofit included

- Microsoft Windows 11 IoT: for state-of-the-art operating system technology and greater security
- Aveva InTouch 2020: for optimized visualization and user-friendliness
- Migration of visualizations and databases: for more powerful data processing and greater integrity
Result
These technology upgrades not only improve efficiency and performance, but also the future viability of the PDA terminals. Replacing old versions of Windows with Windows 11 IoT, for example, ensures longer security support. This results in significantly increased uptime while maintaining a high level of security.
The terminals were replaced quickly and smoothly at the end customer's site, so that the production start-up we supported could take place without interruptions.
